7月23日，6名大学生在中国黄金集团内蒙古矿业一选矿厂参观学习时坠落溺亡，另有1名老师受伤。 24日，新华社记者抵达事发厂区探访。经记者介绍，涉事的矿厂已全部停工停产，事故发生地有关部门正在进行调查，禁止入内，记者来到隔壁相似厂房，由车间主任带领还原事故发生的经过。
