“地上明堡，地下暗道”，位于山西省介休市的张壁古堡地下分布有万米地道，建造年代可上溯至北朝时期，距今1500余年。地道呈立体三层网状结构，已探明长度有1万多米。底层距地面15到20米，中层距地面10米左右，顶层距地面2到5米，集攻、防、退、藏、逃等功能于一体，是研究古代地道战术珍贵的参考实物。
