澳门地球物理气象局7月19日表示，按目前预测路径，台风“韦帕”将采取西北路径移近广东沿岸。受“韦帕”环流影响，预料今日稍后风雨会开始增强，因此将于今日17时30分发出三号风球。
20日“韦帕”将接近珠江口，对澳门影响最为明显，风势早上起将显著增强，并伴随狂风骤雨和雷暴。20日凌晨至早上发出八号风球机会大。20日白天发出九号风球可能性中等至较高。（央视新闻）
