7月9日，高盛报告称，鉴于美国对铜进口征收50%关税的风险上升，预计未来几周运往美国的铜将加速。报告中写道，贸易商抢在关税实施前对美出口的动机增加。高盛表示，维持12月25日LME铜价在每吨9,700美元的预期，不过第三季度铜价升破10,000美元的风险现在降低。
