北京时间7月8日，根据转会专家罗马诺的消息，巴萨门将佩尼亚准备在今夏离队。
罗马诺称：“在霍安-加西亚加盟以及什琴斯尼续约后，佩尼亚准备在今夏离队。他正在评估转会新选择。”
现年26岁的佩尼亚出自巴萨自家青训，2024/25赛季他代表巴萨各项赛事出场23场，完成7场零封丢25球。他与巴萨的合同还剩最后一年。
