北京时间7月8日，曼城官方发布公告，宣布球队后卫芬利-伯恩斯租借加盟至英甲俱乐部雷丁。
伯恩斯在13岁时来到曼城，在2021年9月的英联杯比赛中上演曼城一线队首秀，并在2022年1月与曼城签下5年半的长约，此后便长期被曼城外租。
上赛季，伯恩斯被曼城外租至英冠俱乐部赫尔城，在联赛出场9次。
