7月7日，据支线飞机制造商ATR消息，其长期合作伙伴阿尔及利亚航空已订购16架全新ATR72-600。此次战略性采购还包括一台ATR72-600全动飞行模拟机——这是非洲首台此类模拟机。阿尔及利亚航空是ATR在非洲最大的客户，目前运营着12架ATR72-500和3架ATR72-600。新飞机计划于2026年至2028年之间交付。
