蒂格表示：“我喜欢他为比赛带来的东西，6尺10、投篮还好，他是很出色的防守者，他能打多个位置。
“很难找到这样的年轻人了，下赛季他会是首发，这是肯定的。有了杜兰特他就没什么压力了，他会场均14、15分的。”
上赛季，小贾巴里-史密斯场均12.2分7篮板1.1助攻。
