Windhorst说道：“短期内不会有字母哥交易。联盟里已经意识到雄鹿会留住他，字母哥也不会要求交易。我无法预测八月份会发生什么。”
字母哥目前的合同2028年夏天才会到期，其中27-28赛季是球员选项，他可以跳出合同，进入自由市场。不过明年夏天他有资格续签一份4年2.93亿美元的超级合同。
