瑞士海上钻井巨头Transocean近日宣布，该公司已与挪威国家石油公司Equinor签订一份价值1亿美元、涉及两口井的选项协议，租用Transocean Spitsbergen半潜式钻井平台在挪威北海继续作业。
挪威两口井的作业预计将于2026年第一季度启动，这将直接延续Transocean Spitsbergen与Equinor的现有合同。该钻井平台自2023年11月起为Equinor提供服务，合同期至2027年8月。
据悉，Transocean Spitsbergen是一座由Aker H-6e设计的半潜式钻井平台，于2009年投入使用，最大钻井深度为30000英尺（9144米），可容纳140人。
Transocean近期还宣布，计划退役半潜式钻井平台GSF Development Driller I和钻井船Discoverer Luanda。这两艘已停用的船舶可能被出售给第三方或进行回收。
此外，该公司还在评估出售或回收半潜式钻井平台Development Driller III和钻井船Discoverer Inspiration的商业可行性。
