5月18日，胖东来超市运营负责人就柴怼怼事件发声。负责人称，自3月30日，柴怼怼事件发展到今天，一个多月的时间里，柴怼怼的言论在没有任何事实依据，毫无底线的炒作赚取流量，并主观猜测推断，恶意诬蔑，毫无做人的基本底线和原则。面对造谣、诬蔑、诽谤行为，胖东来人绝不妥协，善良的正义不容亵渎和伤害。
