中国驻旧金山总领馆2日向新华社记者确认，当地时间5月1日晚，美国爱达荷州黄石国家公园附近发生重大交通事故，据初步了解，事故造成5名中国公民死亡、8名中国公民受伤。事故原因正在调查之中。
