最终年仅21岁的王星昊再胜李钦诚，总比分2-0夺得生涯首个世界冠军。
他也因此打破了一个关于中国围棋的“魔咒”：中国大陆首个“王”姓世界冠军（王姓高手不少，但一直没有冠军）。
