4月8日，总台报道员获悉，日本防卫省冲绳防卫局当天向冲绳县政府传达消息称，美军方面将在驻日美军嘉手纳基地无限期部署多架MQ-4C"海神"大型无人侦察机。
冲绳防卫局称，部署将在"数周内"开始。冲绳县方面以"会导致基地负担增加"为由对此提出反对。（总台报道员 柏春洋）
