隋维杰表示：“没有想到啊，很高兴、很开心，我觉得挺幸福，在球队能过24岁（实际为42岁）的生日吧。今天也是比赛日，不耽误大家时间，祝球队越来越好，祝愿每个球员没有伤病。”
随后，大连英博全队为隋维杰唱起了生日快乐歌。
