2005年U17世界杯（秘鲁世少赛）是国字号青年军高光时刻，作为2004年U17亚洲杯冠军，中国队以89年龄段球员为主力参赛，最终获得第7名，创造了中国男足在该赛事的历史最佳战绩。小组赛第二场，国少凭借邓卓翔的穿云箭，1-0击败东道主秘鲁。
