3月31日，中兴通讯发布公告称，选举方榕为公司董事长，据悉，她也是公司成立40年来首位女性掌门人。 方榕毕业于南京邮电大学通信工程专业，1995年加入中兴新，1997年进入中兴通讯，1998年到2009年担任中兴通讯高级副总裁，2018年之后一直是中兴通讯董事会成员，担任中兴通讯非执行董事。
