当地时间3月29日下午，中国救援队抵达缅甸仰光国际机场。6时40分左右，中国救援队乘车从机场向受灾严重的曼德勒省进发。为尽可能多地争取搜救黄金时间，救援队将在大巴车上过夜。抵达灾区后，救援队将接领具体搜救任务，派出救援小队对执行任务现场进行实地勘查，同时选择安全合适的位置搭建营地。
