日本爱媛县今治市4月23日下午发生了山林火灾，灭火作业仍在持续。截至当地时间24日9时20分，今治市过火面积约为128公顷。当地已向1887名居民发出避难指示。
另外，截至当地时间24日7时，冈山县冈山市山林火灾过火面积已达约250公顷。该市包括住宅、仓库在内的6栋建筑物被烧毁。冈山市已对893人发出避难指示。
据报道，日本政府24日已在首相官邸危机管理中心设置信息联络室。
