3月12日，WTT重庆冠军赛男单1/16决赛，陈垣宇2-3不敌瑞典选手卡尔伯格，无缘晋级下一轮。
在6-11先输一局后，陈垣宇11-8、11-8连胜两局。
第四局，陈垣宇错失开局的领先优势，被对手追上并反超，最终8-11被拖入决胜局。
决胜局，陈垣宇又是在开局领先的情况下被逆转，7-11告负，2-3惜败卡尔伯格。
下一轮，卡尔伯格将迎战张本智和。
