当地时间2月11日播出一档节目中，OpenAI CEO山姆·奥尔特曼表示“为了不让OpenAI被超越每天都有压力，计划与DeepSeek的管理层会面”。2月13日，奥尔特曼宣布免费版ChatGPT能在标准智能设置下无限制地使用GPT-5进行对话。而ChatGPT Plus能够以更高智能水平运行GPT-5，而Pro订阅用户则能以更高等级的智能水平运行GPT-5。
