正月初三，贴赤口。正月初三也叫“赤狗日”，相传赤狗为口怒之神，旧时人们在这天留在家中祭祀神明、贴“赤口”摒除凶煞。北方这天也称“扫帚日”，要把大年初一、初二的垃圾集中清理掉。
