中国科学院紫金山天文台1月16日发布消息，北京时间2025年1月16日，国际小行星中心发布了紫金山天文台盱眙观测站近地天体望远镜发现的一颗新彗星，命名为C/2025 A3（Tsuchinshan），这是紫金山天文台发现的第九颗彗星，也是第七颗以“紫金山”命名的彗星。
