缅媒报道，从缅甸气象（仰光分社）获悉，1月9日晚，掸邦南部东枝市不远处昔胜镇辖区为中心发生了地震。
1月9日晚6点54分18秒，昔胜镇北－西北面14英里，东枝市南－东南面32英里，北纬20.36度，东经97.21度发生了震源深度为10千米的2.4级地震。
该地震，由缅甸气象、非政府组织、缅甸代表处、地震科监测获知。
