苏家湾水库设计灌溉面积1000亩，实际灌溉面积800亩，总库容11.43万m³，正常库容6.29万m³，死库容0.45万m³，水库海拔636米，大坝为土坝，坝顶宽5米，作为机动车道使用，坝高9米。
由于丹山海拔较高，冬季偶有降雪覆盖，从水库望去，白茫茫的丹山甚是美丽。
苏家湾水映天光，
碧波微漾韵悠长。
丹山环抱云影落，
恰似明珠嵌画廊。
