12月12日，埃克森美孚中国宣布，2024年12月，埃克森美孚惠州乙烯一期项目的160万吨乙烯装置实现中交，全面进入调试阶段。埃克森美孚惠州乙烯项目选址惠州大亚湾石化园区，一期项目主要包括乙烯装置及中下游高端聚乙烯、聚丙烯等生产装置和与之配套的公用工程、码头、储运及环保设施。
