10月28日，江苏发布《江苏省老龄事业发展报告(2024)》，报告显示江苏13市已全部进入中度老年化社会，其中南通、泰州、盐城和扬州已经进入重度老龄化社会。截至2023年末，江苏60岁及以上常住老年人口2089万人，占常住人口的24.5%，高于全国3.4个百分点；65岁及以上老年人口1573万人，占比18.4%，高于全国3个百分点。
