In 2024, marking the 20th anniversary of China's ratification of the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, the 8th China Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo was held in Jinan, showcasing a myriad of projects and inheritors. Notable examples include the innovative kites crafted by Tianjin's Wei Kite Makers and the adapted sachets from Xuzhou, both illustrating the seamless integration of tradition with modernity. The Expo emphasized the dual nature of intangible cultural heritage as both traditional and modern. The connection between Yangliuqing New Year Pictures and everyday life, coupled with the exploration of fan-making techniques and cross-border collaborations, has seamlessly integrated these artistic works into modern life. Additionally, digital projects such as "Paper Kite Roaming" further enhanced the visitor experience.
