日本总务省当地时间10月25日公布的初步统计数据显示，除生鲜食品外，东京都23区10月份消费者物价指数同比上涨1.8%，连续38个月上涨。
其中，受生产成本上涨的影响，米类商品同比上涨62.3%，是自1971年有比较数据以来最大涨幅。
