The main goal of the PE curriculum at NAS Beijing is to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and motivation they need to lead healthy, active lives. 单元 ① 在天赋横行的田径世界里,用奔跑打开健康的生活方式

Unit 1 Kickstart a Healthy Lifestyle with Athletics

This semester begins with theathletics unit,where students learn key skills like proper running techniques, jump rope exercises, sit-ups, and stretching.

These activities help improve students' physical coordination, endurance, and strength. At the end of the unit, students will undergo a series of fitness tests to assess their progress and set personal fitness goals.

Unit 2 Build Teamwork

Ball Games

Ball games are a highlight of any PE curriculum.T-Ball,a simplified version of baseball, is ideal for young learners. Students practice fundamental skills such as throwing, catching, batting, base running, and fielding to improve hand-eye coordination.

The unit concludes with a modified game, giving students a fun and engaging opportunity to apply what they’ve learned. They’ll also experience the importance of teamwork and communication—core values of sportsmanship.

The unit wraps up with a basketball competition, where students can showcase their progress and teamwork.

Swimmingis a key part of the curriculum and provides students with a full-body workout that promotes cardiovascular health, coordination, and strength. Our swimming program caters to all skill levels, from beginner techniques to advanced strokes. Students practice in our 25-meter semi-standard pool, where they build water confidence, learn proper swimming techniques, and gain essential water safety knowledge.

Fitness and Well-being
