位于熊本县球磨郡多良木町黑肥地851号的莲花寺遗址至今仍保留了103座五轮塔和24座板碑，被熊本县认证为重要文化财产的遗迹。
五轮塔属于镰仓、室町时代的中世纪古墓，其中19座上有刻铭，这些古老的塔碑群在《夏目友人帐》第七季OP中被描绘出来。
