至此，姚明在2016年入选奈史密斯篮球名人堂时的三位引荐人，比尔-拉塞尔、比尔-沃顿、穆托姆博均已去世。
比尔-拉塞尔1975年入选名人堂，于2022年7月31日去世；比尔-沃顿1993年入选名人堂，于2024年5月27日去世；穆托姆博2015年入选名人堂，于2024年9月30日去世。
