当地时间9月24日下午，厄瓜多尔首都基多北部瓜普洛区发生森林大火。火灾产生的烟雾扩散到周边区域，迫使瓜普洛区的交通主干道关闭。
目前基多消防局已到达现场进行灭火。此外，由于电力短缺，基多当天白天时段停电6小时，通信基站受到影响。
