9月2日，广西崇左市天等县上映乡政府发布通告称，近期接到辖区群众反映，有疑似猫科类食肉性中型野生动物出没，提醒各村屯群众做好防范。
当晚9时许，上映乡政府有关工作人员表示，经初步调查，出没的动物是小型猫科动物，不是老虎，目前有关部门仍在排查。网上传播的老虎照片均为网图，一旦有新情况，届时会发通报。
