北京时间9月1日，2024年韩国羽毛球公开赛女单决赛，中国选手王祉怡因身体原因退赛，韩国选手金佳恩获得本站比赛女单冠军。
赛后，王祉怡更新社媒致歉，她写道：“很抱歉因身体原因不得不选择退赛，短暂休息，很快回来。感谢关心。”
此前结束的女单半决赛中，王祉怡挽救了2个赛点，以19-21、21-13和24-22，艰难复仇韩国选手沈有振杀入决赛。
