8月7日，英特尔宣布，公司基于Intel 18A制程节点打造的首批产品——AI PC客户端处理器Panther Lake和服务器处理器Clearwater Forest，其样片现已出厂、上电运行并顺利启动操作系统。
Intel 18A是英特尔2021年制定的“四年实现五个工艺制程节点”计划中的最后一个节点，按照英特尔CEO Pat Gelsinger的说法，Intel 18A制程与台积电的N2（2纳米）制程所能容纳的晶体管数量与性能相当，但通过个别创新技术在综合性能表现优于台积电2纳米。
