半决赛中，西班牙国奥2-1逆转击败摩洛哥，而法国国奥同样上演逆转戏码，东道主通过加时赛3-1淘汰埃及国奥，与西班牙国奥会师决赛。
西班牙国奥连续两届奥运会闯进男足项目决赛，法国国奥则是时隔40年再次闯进奥运会男足决赛。
决赛将于北京时间8月10日0:00在巴黎王子公园球场进行。
