7月26日，香港特区地政总署为扩展东涌新市镇，已于7月25日张贴收回土地公告，收回632幅私人土地，总面积约65,100平方米，将用作兴建公共设施和进行道路及排污设备工程。工程预计约六年内分阶段完成。
