据央视新闻，当地时间7月16日，据记者消息，美国陪审团当日表示，已就新泽西州参议员梅嫩德斯涉嫌受贿案作出裁决，判处其罪名成立。
此前，纽约南区联邦检察官指控梅嫩德斯多次以权谋私，收取现金和金条等贿赂。执法人员在搜查梅嫩德斯住所时，曾发现价值超过10万美元的金条和超过48万美元现金。
