盛夏时节，瓜果飘香。近日，孝感市大悟县大新镇上冲黄桃采摘园的黄桃进入成熟期，迎来采摘旺季。

The height of summer is a precursor for delicious fruity summer staples. Recently, yellow peaches atShangchong Yellow Peach U-Pick Garden in Daxin Town, Dawu County, Xiaogan City, have began to ripen, ushering in the peak of the picking season.

大新上冲黄桃采摘园位于大新镇上冲村，占地面积240亩，园区种植有黄桃、蟠桃、黄油桃、血桃等十多个早中晚桃子品种。主要栽植的黄桃品种包括黄金密1号、黄金密3号、黄金密6号、金凤黄桃、彩虹蟠桃和锦绣黄桃。黄桃含有丰富的抗氧化剂、膳食纤维、果胶、硒、锌、铁等营养成分，经常食用可以起到润肠通便、降血糖、降血脂、提高免疫力的作用。

Shangchong Yellow Peach U-Pick Garden, located in Shangchong Village, Daxin Town, covers an area of 240 mu (approximately 16 hectares). The garden cultivates over ten varieties of early, mid, and late-season peaches, including yellow peaches, flat peaches, yellow nectarines, and blood peaches. The main varieties of yellow peach include Golden Honey No. 1, Golden Honey No. 3, Golden Honey No. 6, Golden Phoenix Yellow Peach, Rainbow Flat Peach, and Brocade-like Yellow Peach. Yellow peaches are chock-full of antioxidants, dietary fiber, pectin, selenium, zinc, iron, and other nutrients. Regular consumption can aid digestion, lower blood sugar, reduce blood lipids, and boost immunity.

黄桃采摘园里，只见漫山遍野的黄桃树郁郁葱葱，一棵棵黄桃树枝上挂满了穿着“纸外衣”的黄桃，压弯枝头，采摘下来，打开套袋，黄灿灿的黄桃格外诱人，让人垂涎欲滴。游客们穿梭在桃树中，一手拿桶，一手采摘，尽情享受着采摘的乐趣。

Entering the U-pick garden, a sea of lush yellow peach trees stretches across the hill. Each branch has succumbed to the weight of the countless yellow peaches, all wrapped in “paper coats”. Once picked and taken out of the protective bag, the yellow peacheslook particularly inviting and mouthwatering.Tourists can be seen wandering through the peach trees, holding a bucket in one hand, picking peacheswith the other, truly relishing the joy of picking fruit.

据了解，黄桃幼果时，工人给黄桃幼果套袋，套袋不但可以减少病虫的危害，而且能有效减少裂果，增强果色，是提高果品质量的关键环节，一个个披上了“纸外衣”的黄桃香甜可口。黄桃采摘季从6月初开始，一直持续到6月底。

It is understood that during the early fruiting stages, the workers bag each fruit as this not only reduces the harm of diseases and pests, but also effectively minimizes splitting in the fruits. This enhances the color, which is the key to improving the quality of the fruit. With this “paper coat”, yellow peaches better develop their sweet and refreshing flavors. The picking season starts in early June and lasts until the end of June.

“我们的黄桃果园的管理一直秉承着绿色、健康的经营理念，人工割草，散养鸡鸭鹅，施用有机肥，来提高黄桃的品质并可以即摘即食。”采摘园负责人李康说。

“When it comes to managing the garden, we have adhered to our business ethos of green and healthy. Through manual mowing, free-range chickens, ducks and geese, and application of organic fertilizers, the quality of yellow peaches is improved, and entails fruit can be picked and eaten on the spot,” the director of U-Pick Garden, Li Kang said.

大新上冲黄桃采摘园建设共流转了附近村民土地240亩，2017年底，李康成立茂春种植养殖农民专业合作社，除200亩黄桃园外，还建有葡萄、草莓、橘子、杏子、西瓜等30亩特色水果采摘园，以及10亩鱼塘。村民通过流转土地收取租金，并到生态园里管护和采摘获取报酬。今年大新上冲黄桃采摘园的黄桃进入丰产期。根据市场价每斤8元计算，200亩黄桃将为园区带来可观的经济收益，同时也带动老百姓一起增收致富。

The Shangchong Yellow Peach U-Pick Gardenin Daxin Towncirculates nearly villagers’ land of 240mu (16 hectares), so with the circulated land Li Kang established and managed Maochun Planting and Breeding Farmers Professional Cooperative by the end of 2017. Inaddition to 200 acres of yellow peaches, there are also30mu (2 hectares) of picking orchards planted with grapes, strawberries, oranges, apricots, watermelons, and other specialty fruits,as well asa 10mu (around 0.66 hectares) fish pond. By transferring land to the co-op and assisting in the upkeep of the eco-gardens, villagers can collect rent and receive a wage. This year, the gardenshave welcomed an all-time high in their yields. According to the market price of 8 yuan per catty(1 catty=500g), 200 mu of yellow peaches will not only bring considerable economic benefits to the garden, but also provide employment and reap long term financial benefits for the locals.
