本场比赛面对罗马尼亚选手贝古，朱琳首盘火力全开6-0强势取胜，第二盘比赛中，朱琳虽浪费1个发球胜赛局，仍顶住压力6-4拿下比赛。
朱琳时隔三年再取温网正赛胜利，这也是她本赛季的大满贯首胜。接下来，她将迎战25号种子帕芙柳琴科娃，后者首轮以7-6(4)和6-1击败汤森德。
