"Getting Things Done," abbreviated as GTD, is a fundamental quality that successful individuals must possess. To accomplish things, one should not strive for perfection or wait for the perfect preparation before starting what they want to do. Instead, it is about making gradual progress every day, practicing GTD while adjusting the course along the way.
Reflecting on my doctoral studies, I had to face the heavy workload of teaching while also writing papers, which was quite challenging. There was a period when I felt like I couldn't make it, as if I was in the dark with no hope. However, I set a small goal for myself to write 300 words every day, regardless of the content. I started accumulating materials, organizing the text, and gradually turning a few pages of notes into tens of pages, then over a hundred pages, and finally close to 400 pages, which led to a successful graduation.
GTD is a necessary mindset and way of behaving to achieve success. Regardless of the circumstances, making gradual progress each day will eventually lead to results.
