据央视新闻，美国财政部当地时间1月22日宣布，对伊拉克的廉价航空公司巴格达航空及其首席执行官实施制裁，理由是该公司向伊朗伊斯兰革命卫队及其在伊拉克、叙利亚和黎巴嫩的代理组织提供援助。
对此，巴格达航空23日表示坚决反对，称美国的制裁毫无理由。巴格达航空公司安全主管纳米尔称，伊拉克的机场运输完全处于伊拉克安全当局的控制之下。
