当地时间1月19日凌晨，也门胡塞武装军事发言人叶海亚·萨雷亚发表声明称，胡塞武装再次通过反舰导弹袭击了一艘美国货轮并命中目标。
叶海亚表示，袭击是对于美英军事行动的报复，美英的所有侵略行为都会得到相应的回应。
