中国足协官方宣布，今年的冬季转会窗1月4日至2月28日开启，新赛季中超每队每场可同时上5外援。
中超冬季转会窗时间为2024年1月4日至2月28日，夏季转会窗时间为2024年6月17日至7月15日。
冬季转会窗，中超俱乐部可注册外援不得超过6名。在冬窗和夏窗中，各中超俱乐部可注册的外援数量累计不得超过7名。
各中超俱乐部每场比赛同时可报名外援5人，上场最多为5人。
租借到其他俱乐部的外援占用原（租出）俱乐部外援注册名额。
