5月30日，据英国天空新闻网（SkyNews）消息，汇丰计划将此前收购的硅谷银行英国分行（SVBUK）更名为汇丰创新银行（HSBC Innovation Banking），预计将在6月12日开幕的伦敦科技周期间宣布。
汇丰3月时公布以1英镑代价收购硅谷银行英国分行。据悉，收购后，汇丰银行任命三位资深人士担任董事，没有计划立即对执行领导层进行变动，Erin Platts仍担任首席执行官。
