央视新闻援引交通运输部消息，一季度，琼州海峡客滚运输共运送旅客668万人次，车辆178万台次，较2022年同比分别增长56.8%、42.4%；较2019年同比分别增长15.0%、40.8%。一季度通过琼州海峡水路运输的旅客占进出海南岛旅客比重已从2019年同期的29.5%上升至33.8%。
