据台湾“中央社”报道，3月2日，绿色和平公布四大半导体业屋顶光电调查，点名台积电未装绿电闲置面积最多。对此，台积电表示，因建筑安全考量等限制，无法在厂房屋顶全面设置太阳能板，2021年仍新增太阳能板装置容量231千瓦，全公司再生能源总发电量488万度，减少碳排放量2449公吨。
