2009年，哈萨克斯坦在俄罗斯莫斯科设立贸易代表处，并在喀山设有分部。
2023年2月27日，哈萨克斯坦贸易和一体化部宣布关闭驻俄罗斯的贸易代表处。
对于关闭的理由，哈萨克斯坦表示是为了优化其机构。
