财联社12月10日电，当地时间12月9日，英国卫生部门透露，位于英国萨塞克斯郡一名中学生因感染A型链球菌后死亡。近期英国暴发A型链球菌疫情以来，已有16人死亡，多数为儿童和未成年人。感染A型链球菌通常会导致喉咙疼痛、猩红热或皮疹，并通过身体接触或打喷嚏产生的飞沫传播。
